Important to know for speakers

Useful information for speakers at the Danish Crop Production Conference 2014

Thank you for agreeing to give a presentation at the conference.

The programme

The conference will contain eight parallel sessions which allows participants to put together their own personal programme based on interests.

Please note, if your session is marked or .

For farmers and others who wish to gain knowledge that can be used on the farm.
For advisers and others who want a theoretical and more in-depth analysis of a topic.

For all.

It is very important to take into account the target audience of your presentation.

Abstracts

Speakers must prepare an abstract of max. 2 pages in “Word”, including results, conclusions, diagrams, etc., for the conference proceedings. The abstracts will be published on the conference website in the week leading up to the conference. Deadline for submission of abstracts is 19 November, 2013 - see writing instructions. If you have any questions: Contact Sonja Graugaard.

Trade journals and other publications are usually interested in the various presentations. Conference material may not be published before the conference, but you are welcome to answer questions or write other articles on the same topics.

It is very important that you observe the time set aside for your presentation, which appears from the mail that is sent to you. 1-3 minutes should be left at the end of each presentation for a few clarifying questions.

Moderator

During each session, a moderator will be present to ensure that the programme schedule is observed and to guide discussions. The moderator will have a question prepared for you in the absence of questions from the audience.

Practical help

In each room, there will be assistants, who can help you with the logistics of your presentation - PC, projector, microphones etc. See the list of AV resources. If you have any questions: Please contact Henrik Buus.

Academic content of sessions

Each session has been arranged by a Programme Committee. If you have any questions about the content, "the red thread ", etc., please feel free to contact the Chairman of the Programme Committee of your session. See the list of Chairmen.

PowerPoint shows

Most of the speakers prepare a PowerPoint show. The show should be sent to Lotte Buchtrup Hornbek, LTH@vfl.dk, no later than Friday 10 January, 2014, at 8 AM. The show will be published on the conference website just after the conference, unless otherwise agreed. See instructions for PowerPoint shows.

If the session is cancelled
